This passage is where Jesus gives people the key, the cornerstone, to his parables.
The key is "Jesus equals Truth". Ancient Christian teachings are revealed by replacing "I am" statements and the name "Jesus" with the word "Truth" In The Bible.
You can't be "right with God" unless you first accept God's Truth. Jesus uses himself as a teaching tool for you to discover Truth.
